Sericite

  Sericite is a kind of mica, which are layered silicate minerals. Sericite has a very wide range of uses: rubber, plastics, coatings, paints, ceramics, insulation, cosmetics, paint, paper making, metallurgy and other industries. Crystals of the sericite is scaly , crystal aggregates shows blocks, was gray, purple pink, white, with silky luster.

 Various functions  mechanism of mica powder, in the coating:
 1. shield more than 80% UV, improve the coating durability, delay powder, color
 2. height to diameter ratio of the two-dimensional sheet structure, enhance coating mechanical properties, waterproof, permeability and anti-cracking.
 3. acid, alkali, high temperature, increase the heat and corrosion resistance of coating
